About me
I was brought up in suburbia, a town near Bristol and Bath. I was very blessed to have the best of both worlds growing up, the hustle and bustle of the city through to making dens and campfires over the fields, hiking, and putting tins of beans on the fire, please don’t try this haha! I am more of a countryside person rather than city. The countryside holds more enjoyment in hiking, viewing Gods creation and being close to Him, I think that’s one of the big reasons I lived in Scotland for many years. Being in the mountains or hiking really puts things in perspective and is my way of connecting with my Father God. I was not raised a Christian, and none of my family are. I came to faith in January 2018 in a little town called Peterculter near Aberdeen. I take great care in the little things that matter such as a kind/reassuring word, or giving a smile to comfort, I feel I am non-judgemental with vast inner beauty, but that kind of makes me come off as arrogant, so please be the judge of that. I am both a learning disability nurse and agricultural engineer, there is a story of course that goes with that but that’s of another time. My friends described me as follows (I promise I did not pay them to write this haha!): Dean is an ambitious, career minded person who has worked within health care for years. He has spent a lot of his adult life working and volunteering abroad. He enjoys the outdoors such as sailing, mountaineering and diving. He makes Karl Pilkington look like Stephen Fry with Bear Grylls as an addition. He is all three with a little extra. In short: - Rugged, - Driven, - Brave.
